Is the mask Reusable?

This is a single-use source control mask. It is not recommended to reuse this mask.

Is the mask latex free?

Yes, it is latex free.

Does the mask fog?

The transparent window is fog-resistant in climate controlled settings. It is meant for indoor use. The mask is single-use.

Is the mask ADA-effective?

Yes, the FaceView Mask™ helps meet the “Effective Communication” clause of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. The mask has a clear window around the mouth and nose area which allows for lipreading and face reading; this clear window assists those people who are visual communicators.

Is it an N-95 mask?

No, the FaceView Mask™ is not an N-95 mask.

What is the size of the window?

Approximately 94mm (3.70 inches) long and 70 mm (2.75 inches) high. The size of the window is large enough to see all of the mouth area when the mask is worn properly.

Can I clean and reuse the Mask?

The FaceView Mask™ is a one-time use disposable face mask. Any cleaning or sanitizing of disposable PPE needs to be cleared by your healthcare facility infectious disease and prevention unit and users assume full responsibility and any risks/liability. Again, this mask is designed to be a one-time use and then dispose of properly.

How long can you wear a disposable mask?

The FaceView Mask™ was designed to be a single-use disposable face mask; to use the mask in any other way than intended use is not recommended and users do so at their own risk. 

What ASTM level is the mask?

We are in in the process of testing this mask for ASTM Class I - III standards, with results expected in Spring 2021.

Is the mask effective during COVID-19 pandemic?

The FaceView Mask™ is a source control mask, described by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) as a product intended to prevent people with COVID-19 from spreading the disease to others.*
